DEHRADUN: Star cricketer 

Rishabh Pant

 miraculously survived a road accident – though he suffered multiple injuries – while driving his Mercedes GLE from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee early Friday.

The near-fatal accident happened at 

Narsan

 in Haridwar district, about 90km from Dehradun. The vehicle went up in flames moments later and was reduced to a mangled, simmering heap. 

Pant

 managed to escape after breaking the windscreen. Results of an MRI of the brain andspinal cord were 'normal'.

Pant somehow managed to come out of the burning four-wheeler before being helped by a driver and conductor of a 

Haryana

 roadways bus which was about 50m behind.
